Drought and salinity stress have become the major factors for crop yield loss in recent years. Drastically changing climatic conditions will only add to adverse effects of such abiotic stresses future. Hence, it is necessary conduct extensive research elucidate molecular mechanisms that regulate plants’ response stress. Halophytes are plants can grow high naturally resistant a number stresses. Avicennia marina one halophyte, which grows tropical regions world areas salinity. In this study, we analysed role R2R3-MYB transcription factor gene family stress, as been reported definite manifestation. We identified 185 R2R3 MYB genes at genome-wide level A. classified them based on presence conserved motifs protein sequences. Cis-regulatory elements (CREs) present promoter region these were identify responsive elements. Comparative homology with from other provided an insight into evolutionary changes marinaR2R3 genes. silico expression analysis revealed 34 AmR2R3 differentially regulated leaves root tissue subjected drought This study first report genome help selecting candidates further functional characterisation.
